Yesterday we had to go to Little Rock and I dropped into Target and Kroger for a few things. While I was there I picked up these great deals on board games. Two of them will be a great addition to our weekly Friday night game night and one will make a great donation item.
Target has Monopoly Millionaire on sale right now for $14.98. Using the $5 coupon from Coupons.com, this came to $9.98. Regular price of this game is $19.98.
Kroger has Yahtzee on sale for B1G1F right now (price of 1 was $8.99). I was able to use 2 of the $2 coupons from coupons.com to get 2 games for $4.99 total. Some stores will not let you use 2 coupons if the second one rings up free. At some stores the first one will ring up $4.50 and the second will ring up $4.49. This allows you to use two coupons. It was late last night and the u-scan was the only place open. The clerk had to scan my coupons and he took both coupons off. So it just depends on the store and the clerk if they will take 1 or 2 of the coupons. Even with just one coupon, you would get 2 games for $6.99. The price for these at Target was almost $8 for one and I have hear that they are about $7 at Walmart.
To make this deal even better there is a Hasbro rebate out that can earn prepaid rewards cards from $5 to $40. The rebate is good on the following games:
The Game of Life® (SKU# 04000), Monopoly® (SKU# 00009), Scattergories® (SKUs# A2861, 05721), Pictionary® (SKU# 05713), Scrabble® (SKUs# 04024, 37719), Yahtzee® (SKU# 00950), Hungry Hungry Hippos® (SKUs# 05297, 98936), Jenga® (SKU# 53557), Twister® (SKUs# 16965, 98831), Connect 4® (SKUs# 08417, 98779), Elefun® (SKUs#
05294, 98934) and/or Operation® (SKU# 40198)
It does not require the UPC off the box (great for gift giving), you need only write the numbers on the rebate form. Be sure to copy down the upc numbers before wrapping or donating. It allows multiple receipts or packing slips. Purchases are to be between 11/1/2012 and 12/25/2012, and postmarked by 1/15/2013.
Always make sure you read directions and follow the instructions on rebate forms to receive your rebate without problems.
Remember that not all stores and all locations have the same sales. Be sure to check your stores price before doing the deal.
The coupons may not be available for long, so if you would like to use them it would be best to print them as soon as you can.
If you have no children, or don’t need the games, this is an inexpensive way to donate some great items to toy drives, shelters or wherever you find to make a donation. Being frugal allows us to give more!
